Description

The Hemp Building Workshop is a practical introduction to hemp as a natural building material. It is designed for people who want to explore the material through direct experience and better understand its properties, preparation, and possible applications.
Throughout the workshop, participants will work hands-on with hemp-based building materials, learning about the process from raw material to application. The workshop also offers an introduction to the broader context of natural building and the role hemp can play within it. No previous experience is required.

Programme content

- Introduction to hemp as a building material
- Basic properties and characteristics of hemp in construction
- Introduction to natural building with hemp
- Presentation of materials and tools
- Preparation of the mix
- Practical hands-on application
- Basic notions of drying, finishing, and use

Number of participants

Minimum number: 5 participants
Maximum number: 10 participants
The workshop may be cancelled or postponed if the minimum number of participants is not reached.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation, postponement, or refund of registrations is only possible if notice is given at least 7 days before the start of the workshop. If cancellation is made less than 7 days before the workshop, we will do our best to fill the place. Postponement or transfer of the amount to a gift voucher will only be possible if the place is filled. The Natural Plasters Workshop is a practical introduction to working with natural plasters through direct, hands-on experience. Designed for those interested in natural building, it offers the opportunity to explore different materials, understand their basic properties, and take part in the preparation and application process.
Grounded in practice, this workshop introduces participants to natural plasters in a simple and accessible way. Alongside the practical work, it also creates space to better understand the role of natural plasters in healthier, low-impact building, as well as their aesthetic and functional possibilities.
No previous knowledge is required.

Designed for those who want to learn through direct experience, it offers the opportunity to explore the material, understand its basic properties, and take part in the process of transforming plant fibre into handmade paper.
Grounded in hands-on practice, this workshop introduces participants to the making of hemp paper in a simple and accessible way. Alongside the practical work, it also creates space to better understand the material itself and its possibilities within small-scale creative and material-based processes. No previous knowledge is required.
